I am a life long democrat. I have voted democrat since I first voted at the age of 18. I contemplated voting republican over the past few months because of my faith beliefs. I am a Christian. I love Jesus more than politics and if Jesus said to vote one way or the other I am doing it. But Jesus did not tell me who to vote for or against. I googled 'Is Joe Biden a racist" due to it is still in the air.
The results were several articles from 2019, early 2020 from TYT Show and May 2020 from the Breakfast Club Morning Show, where Joe Biden made a joke about not being black enough if you vote for Trump to the host Charlamagne Tha God. I am not defending Joe Biden. I am writing this because I am hearing people come out strongly against Joe Biden calling him a racist for comments he makes in an attempt to relate. He is a grown man, former Vice President and has been on the international stage for at least 8 years. Joe Biden has decades of experience in politics.
Joe Biden often relates to people as if he is having coffee with a friend. People want to see the President Joe Biden, not the friend Joe Biden and they are screaming from the tops of their heads, 'get your stuff together man'. You say you want to be president, then be Presidential.
As for the January 2020 Huff Post article of the TYT Show expressing their opinion of Joe Biden. I see them as taking Joe Biden's history and lathering his present new man. Joe Biden's past voting records and statement make it hard to show he changed when his past is dangled like a shop shingle every time someone want to get ratings. The racism is hung on Joe Biden so that he will choose a black woman as his running mate. If he were truly a racist no one would want to be his running mate. During the debate Joe Biden articulated some real truth.
About 40 years ago Joe Biden said he will not pay the price for what his ancestors did to black people. He voted against busing black children to white schools as a freshman politician. Joe Biden was leveraging to gain power in a democracy that elected racist men to represent a multi-racial country. The same government that support whites only water fountains, bathrooms, schools, grocery stores, hospitals, neighborhoods and military etc.
The question was what would you do to repair the legacy of slavery in our country?
Joe Biden answers with, he has been working to change the legacy of slavery mentality called racism. Biden said he worked on abolishing racism, fairness in banks, education. Biden said for title 1 schools raise the amount the schools receive from $15 million a year to $45 million and give teachers a raise getting them above the $60k a year salary. Title 1 is , * "Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Also, ** "Schools in which children from low-income families make up at least 40 percent of enrollment are eligible to use Title I funds to operate school wide programs that serve all children in the school in order to raise the achievement of the lowest-achieving students. LEAs also must use Title I funds to provide Title I services to eligible children enrolled in private schools"
Biden said teachers need help with dealing problems that come into the classroom from the children's home. Biden said currently, there is only 1 school psychologist for every 1500 student in Americas of 2019. Biden called it crazy. Biden said, his deceased wife was a teacher and his current wife is a teacher. So we can assume that Joe Biden heard about a lot of the trouble of their students. Although those two classrooms do not make up all of america, it is still knowledge. Joe Biden said The United States of America should be putting children as young as 3, 5 years of age in school and not daycare. Joe Biden said give the parents help in raising their children. Joe Biden said children from lower income backgrounds hear less words in the amount of 4 million less words in their life time than their counter parts.
Now, as a person that enjoys reading and has spoken with teachers in general conversation, Joe Biden is right. Teachers, those of higher income levels, professionals know to surround their children with knowledge, They know that the words heard spoken during first five years of a child's life improves their vocabulary. A larger vocabulary makes way for greater understanding and the tools to do better in school and life. Facts for life global organization is referenced by *UNICEF, United Nations International Children Emergency Fund, created to meet the needs of women and children in Europe and China after the war in 1945. They needed help because the war took play on their land and was devastated. Many lost their husbands, fathers, the earner of the family. The loss of spouse and income made things extremely difficult for women and children.
Per the Facts for life organization, "Recent research confirms that the first five years are particularly important for the development of the child's brain, and the first three years are the most critical in shaping the child's brain architecture. Early experiences provide the base for the brain's organizational development and functioning throughout life. They have a direct impact on how children develop learning skills as well as social and emotional abilities. Children learn more quickly during their early years than at any other time in life. They need love and nurturing to develop a sense of trust and security that turns into confidence as they grow."
America's normal idea of a good home is with two parents in the home. However, this is not the case. Slavery deliberately removed the men from the presence of their children and wives. After slavery, white men with hate filled in their hearts created Jim Crow laws(oppression), planned to enslave black men and women again by not paying them the same wage as white men to do the same job and black women got paid even less.
Next it was reducing the population of black people by abortions, lynching was not fast enough. Abortions is more prevalent and took more lives than the Holocaust, Hitler of Germany killed 6 million plus Jewish faith people and a few million black people because they were not up to Hitler's standards of a person deserving to live. Pure hate,
The question still remains is Joe Biden a racist? The women of the TYT Show stated their objection is that Joe Biden seem to say black women can't be good mothers. That is not what Joe Biden said nor meant. Joe Biden said it is harder for a person with less money and resources to give their child the same education and nourishment than a person with more money and resources. This very real fact is Title 1. It is the stuff of movies like *Lean on me, Freedom Writers, Sesame Street TV series, Dead Poet's Society, Dangerous Minds, Remember The Titans, Won't Back Down, To Sir With Love, Up the Down Staircase. These are just a few movies teachers recommend to other newly established teachers to watch for inspiration to become better teachers.
In each of these movies the teachers dealt with the issues of the students's lives. Children come to school with whatever is happening in their environment. Sometimes parents act out overly aggressive resulting in yelling, screaming or even abuse. What is demonstrated to a child, the child repeats. This often occurs in school. So now teachers are front line social workers. Joe Biden was saying lets get them help. Help may be coping skills, a job, job training, mental help, faith. But no one can make a parent accept help. Joe Biden was asking parents who need help to accept the help. Parent of all races are in every category of the economy. Joe Biden statement was not meant to hurt, but to inform of his willingness to help. If 40%of the student in schools are subsidized then their parents do not have the funds to take them to library book readings, museums, amusement parks, parks, arts and culture events, etc cause they got to work to make sure the child has a safe , dry clean place to sleep and eat. Often, the basic need is all that is met. Most impoverished children do not get home libraries with new books. The pattern of' it's okay to leave poor kids behind is all too often accepted as normal. It sounds like to me Joe Biden is saying no, to the systemic poverty in the black community which is birthed from racism.
Joe Biden is not a racist America. Joe Biden is empathetic and working to solve the troubles of America. This is just the facts not a fluff piece.

On 11 December 1946, the United Nations established UNICEF to meet the emergency needs of children in post-war Europe and China. Our full name was the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund.
In 1950, the UNICEF mandate was broadened to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. UNICEF became a permanent part of the United Nations system in 1953, when our name was shortened to the United Nations Children's Fund. However, UNICEF retained its original acronym.
