SOFT MELTING BISCUITS

I finally figured our how to make soft biscuits I want to eat anytime of the day. Let me share my breakthrough recipe with you. Everything is what is in my kitchen. Improvise if you do not have an ingredient.


2 Cups of flour (I used White Flour)

1 Tablespoon of baking powder (baking soda will give you a bicarbonate taste. Its a bitter salty bland paste flavor)

3 Tablespoons of sugar

1/2 Teaspoon of salt

1/2 Cup of Whole Milk

1/2 Cup Butter (I used margarine in bucket)

1 1/2 Tablespoons of Sour Cream ( I used the generic brand)


Now you can mix it with a spoon or use a blender. Sometimes your hands and arms are the blender.

Rub a dab of butter on the cookie sheet or whatever pan you are using so the biscuits do not stick.

Do not use a pan that has rubber for handles or on the pan. It will burn and may cause a fire. Burnt house no biscuits.

Set the mixture in the refrigerator til the oven heats to 375 degrees. Once the oven reaches 375 degrees temperature, use the mixing spoon to drop the biscuits onto the cookie sheet. Do not put dough on a cutting board. Its not needed. Do not add more flour. Just drop a mound, about a spoonful size on the cookie sheet. You can get about 6 big biscuits. I used a serving spoon to mix and drop the biscuit dough onto the cookie sheet. Let bake 25 minutes, at about 17 minutes check by pressing one biscuit slightly. The biscuit should be firm not milky dough. At 17 minutes you should be able to gently break open one biscuit and see the inside is cooked. I baked my biscuits on the top rack which is set on the second row. Do not put shelf too high or too low. Gas ovens cook faster than electric ovens. I used an electric oven.
